Some great deals to be had here.
Shame the booking window starts three days after I need to fly!

Have you tried calling up to ask? I did something similar into a sale fare last year. Took about half an hour on the phone but we got there...

ba.com is offering LGW-JER-LGW for £129 in December and January, including day trips.
However, when trying to book the £65 each way flights, I get either:
or a fare of £259.78.
I wonder what is awry.

According to ba.com:
Save £10 and visit Amsterdam.
Now where are those £129 r/t JER fares?
- LGW-JER-LGW in biz is £129 but not bookable, defaults to £259.78
- JER-LGW-JER in biz is £259.78
- JER-(LGW)-AMS-(LGW)-JER in biz is £249.39
Save £10 and visit Amsterdam.
Now where are those £129 r/t JER fares?

These are ex-bmi equipment for "mid-haul" routes. Currently being fitted out with a Club World product that's not the same as the CW product on the long haul fleet.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/bmi-d...n-upgrade.html has a good guide, post #42 has pictures.

I've been looking at this myself - R class to Jersey is wideopen, and there are no odd restrictions (i.e. 15 night min stay, or certain flights only). The fare of £36 + tax return is loaded -
So unless i'm missing something all I can think is unless I am missing something obvious, someone at BA hasn't ticked a box. I would say it should be flagged?!
What's Jersey like for getting away from the family at Christmas?!

I dislike New Years' Eve and normally just sleep through it...
But starting a new tradition of taking NYE in the air and doing LHR-DXB on 31st December (12:45 departure) and DXB-LHR on 1st January (02:55 departure) for GBP 998.99 in CW is quite tempting!
Could BA-BA transfers at DXB raise any eyebrows with the authorities? And is it correct that no passage through immigration is required?

Tampa vs Miami
I was hoping that MIA would have a longer sale period like Tampa, as I'm planning to go to Belize in February.
The Tampa CW offer makes it very tempting - don't know whether to take the plunge with this and fly on to MIA or hold out for the usual post-Christmas sale.
The slightly frustrating part is that whilst MIA itself doesn't have sale dates in February, one of the indirect options for Tampa is one of BAs MIA flights.

Quiet, cold and possibly wet
If you want tranquility it could be good. Skip ideas of sunbathing, though
We started coming here in the mid-80s, usually for a very long weekend doing the January Sales. In those days the offering was both interesting and cheap - these days it's neither, really.
