I doubt anyone here knows when, but I'm certainly hoping there is a sale

Was wondering when the next "when is the next sale" question would come up as it's been about 3 days...
Sorry, put my crystal ball away the other day...

Why do the sale prices not apply from the regions?

In short - no we don't know!
If you subscribe to the thread here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...les-ex-uk.html you should get a notification of any changes. I try and post details of all ex-UK fares there with details of current sales in post #1. If you look through post #2 you can see when sales happened last year - they have historically tended to follow a pattern (although this year there has not yet been the expected January premium sale

Not entirely related to the thread title, but certainly not too far off the mark:
Obviously, given the financial situation, there have been a few more (and I understand, better) sales than normal over the past 18 months.
I'm in the fortunate postition of being able to book some my flights way in advance and the rest of them I usually have several months lead time. It's rare that I need to book at short notice.
Has anyone kept a table* of previous BA sales so we can see any underlying regularity - so ican see whether or not I am better off booking early (as prices do tend to go up nearer the flight date), or if I am likely to be OK waiting for a sale later?
* dates of sale, class of travel, long/short-haul, dates for travel?

British Airways Sale?
Does anyone know how many sales there were in 2009? & When they were? I'm pretty sure there was one in October.
Does anyone remember? I need to know.

There were a lot of sales in 2009 - many more in the previous years.
This year BA will be going for revenue rather than volume and I reckon there will be a sale in May and June for summer travel and that will be it.

If a strike goes on I am sure BA will do another round of sale in all classes to fix shattered image and customers anger as a result of the strike.

Hi Dips & welcome to Flyer Talk, nice to have you aboard
Unfortunately it's nigh on impossible to tell when the next BA sale might be.
There is a lengthy discussion to be found on the subject in this thread & also in this one.
There is also some speculation that if there is a strike by the BA cabin Crew, that a sale might launched afterwards to try to recover from the bad will generated by such action.
So really it's a case of only time will tell.
But I can assure you that if there's any rumblings anywhere about an imminent sale, you'll hear about it here pretty quick. So do stick around & keep an eye out ^
