Actually - you all missed the last BA sale - it was on Tuesday for one day only and just to SYD

So really the quesiton is when is the next next BA Sale?
My guess is Thursday 20th August with fares being loaded on Wednesday 19th at about 14:00.....

who knows? we get this question every week. I think BA are unlikely to tell anyone until 24hrs before by then all the papers would have got hold of it.
if they gave such a large warning ahead people wouldn't buy tickets at the normal price, they just hold till the discount day.

I spoke to WW last night and he gave me the inside info - apparently, he'll personally authorise a sale when people stop asking stupid questions on FT. So the 30th February 20Never is my guess.

G-BOAC
Hmmm. Thankks for the helpful and welcoming reply. Sorry I'm not so with the "in crowd" as yourself.

I dont think G-BOAC meant it malitiously. But in his sarcastic reply, he did touch on something which is that BA arent going to advertise a sale otherwise no one will buy at current prices.
To be fair though, I had a sarcastic answer jumping into my head as this question gets asked repeatedly about twice per week (eg once for Y and once for J). Its a bit like the "which is the best seat" or "can i take a stroller on board" questions which are in the stickies that people dont read.
The next sale is most likely to be in September and wont last longer than a week.
Dont feel aggrived, G-BOAC is one of the most helpful people on this forum. I suspect you were the straw that broke his camels back.

Nobody knows when the next sale will be as it will be commercially sensitive info. Otherwise BA may as well just stop selling tickets at regular prices if everyone knows when the next sale is going to be and waits until then to book.

Welcome to the BA board, DKI.
You're not to know this (unless you did a search which perhaps you should have done), but this question is asked at least once a week and none of us know the answer.
As mentioned above, if BA announced a sale before the sale started, then nobody would buy at the current non-sale price.
July has been the only month since January where there has not been a sale of some kind (not necessarily CW/business class), so it is likely that a sale is due soon. But exactly when is only known to a few people at BA, and is definitely not public knowledge.

What I find amusing is that those very people who deride the OP for posting a question that is asked over again ALL feel it necessary to post exactly the same comments in response!
Surely if the question only deserves to be asked once then it only deserves to be answered once

As a occasional viewer maybe I should have searched. Nevertheless,
thanks for the useful responses.
I learned something- wait till end of Aug and you may be lucky.
Seeing as I don't need to travel till Oct thats what I will do- rather than chuck 14k for 5 non-ref tix now.
