Russia appears to be the cheapest , ( though I think you need a visa ? )
followed by Belgium.
Switzerland seemed to be pretty pricey.

If you return into LHR and give yourself an 12hr+ stop in London, you can ask for your bags back at LHR when you check in for that flight without raising eyebrows.

Then it's not your fault if London traffic forces you to miss your onward flight.
Brilliant Idea ^ Though I am not making a reward booking and it doesn't show an option for a stopover on the site. I figured I can do the trip without any checked baggage. Will I have any problems if I just abort the last leg ? I realize I won't get miles or TP's for that part of the journey.

A very common question here. The answer is if you have a good excuse (e.g. traffic) and don't make a habit of it, you'll be alight (unless you are very unlucky). Make a habit of it and BA might audit you and either charge you for the cost difference of the itinerary actually flown, or close your EC account.

Since the BA sale already seems to be active ex-eu, does that usually mean that the UK sale will start in a few days time?

NO

The mysteries of BA Revenue Management are opaque, even to graduates of Oxbridge and that place Harry Potter went.

Historically, there should/may/might be an ex-UK WT/WT+ TATL Sale to the US in the next few days. That may not happen. The FT Public (or at least cheapskates like me) is holding its community breath.

And if I spot it, I won't tell you until I've booked

BA Sale is available in Canada with departures EX Canada. Booking by September 2nd.
(This may be because Air Canada has sale until today - both airlines are offering identical pricing)

LGW-MCO in Club through to June £1698 also TPA.
Haven't checked all the other destinations but noticed NYC was around £1500.

A word of warning - I see some coding errors.

Looking at JNB, two of the seasons (J and K) have been erroneously coded with the same travel dates. This means that the travel dates that should have gone into one of those two seasons are currently pricing at non-sale fares. I doubt that this was intended, and I hope someone will notice and fix this quickly.

Yes … SALE ON and BOOKED (by phone, no fee for that).

JER-UK-IAD for May/Jun 14, UuA to CE/CW @ £807.69 each.

Which is about as cheap as that route gets these days, and was showing as £948. Well pleased, thanks BA ^

I cannot see any sale for NYC in May 2014 as yet. Hoping that BA is in the process of loaded up the fares in stages.
