New deliveries of 777-300ER's from Aug 2010: Any ideas on the reg sequence?

Whilst updating the Club World Guide sticky earlier this week, adding the delivery programme for the 6 new 777-300ER's, there is no registration info for these aircraft at hand at the moment, which got me thinking what clever alpha character combination BA might be planning.

To date, we've seen...
G-ZZZ*: from a distance the triple Z looks like triple 7
G-VII*: where the VII is roman numerals for the number 7
G-YMM*: using roman numerals again, signifying 2000, the year this batch of 777-200ERs were introduced. Note there are 5 letters still remaining, G-YMMV/W/X/Y/Z and 6 aircraft joining the fleet, so a new sequence looks likely.

Any ideas?

Understand it will be G-STB* from A-F
STB standing for stretched Boeing. Rumour goes expect less than 14F, but more J and more W than on Mid J 747.

Is that BA will expecting to be deliveries newest 77W aircraft? Is that coming soon in the this summer 2010, am I correct? I didn't notice this one. So I'm pretty surely BA will be done extremely very well. Do you know where BA will be deployed on operated 77W for which the specific routes to be choose?

Yes, they will be delivered in a few months... One owned/Financed and 2 leased. The same again end of next year/start of 2010.

No idea where they will go and how they will be deployed. They are 4 class aircraft, so imagine to replace some of the 744 capacity that is currently parked in the dry zone...

Liking the possible routes.

Thank you BA for putting BOM on the list!!!!

A much better option than the old original B777s that mostly ply the route!!!
(i mean the BA199/198 rotations)

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

I would've guessed that where they go would be a combination of the furthest flung 747 destinations (for max fuel savings) balanced against where the greatest revenue maximisation for the New First product is. But then again, I'm not in the airline business!

Because the remainder of the rotations on those routes are either 747s or 777-200s. So by not keeping the first couple of aircraft to one route they'll either be a lot of either long slips or positioning for pilots/cabin crew.

I suspect BA are just sending the first aircraft to all the planned destinations to get the ground teams used to them before they take over each flight on a daily basis.

Yes, but a brand new 777-300 that BA/Lessors have bought for 80m at todays prices costs a lot more to have standing around than a nearly amortised 747 bought for 25m 20 years ago. The routes they have chosen are 24hr round trips. ie same aircraft can do same flight day after day. That keeps the utilisation high (around 16-18hrs flying per day). Put a small fleet on say HKG then you need 2 aircraft to provide a daily service with a lot of down time in between.

I wonder whether we can expect the new WTP and WT products on these new aircraft, as hinted at in the leaked Investor Day slides?
