Covent Garden to CCR in under 45 minutes

I know it is a slightly frivolous thread but I was mightily impressed. And if there hadn't been a two-minute wait for a free desk at the F check-in, and a queue of six people in front of me at Fast Track, it would have been 40 minutes.

I'd ordered a car service for 6am, and despite only getting three hours' sleep, doing most of my packing last night with a frazzled brain (hard week at work) and getting up at 4.15, I still wasn't ready for the car until 6.15. So it was a real pleasure to make it here before 7, to get a decent spell in the CCR before getting on BA117.

So who can beat that timing? I'm guessing Smirnoff has a way to do it in half an hour.

was it the free cab service you booked?

Quickest Ive done it is the office at Old Bailey to Galleries in 55mins, that was using the HEX.

I've done bed (in SW18) to the Galleries in 50 mins. That was early morning, so a fast drive, but did include a shower and getting dressed.

One day I would like to contrive a reason to have to get a taxi motorbike to the airport. And give the driver cause to hammer it!

All this talk of Leather and Riding and Fire Island - it's entirely too early in the morning !

Who was it who said "Friday is only a formality - the weekend is HERE!"?^
