Changing a booking

A colleague has had a booking made to MAA for next March in the W bucket for WT+ - he really doesn't need the flexibility. Can he phone the EC and get this changed to I class, or are you only allowed to change bookings to others with the corresponding flexibility?

Is W (full-fare WT+) refundable? If so, he could just cancel and refund the original ticket, and book a new one.

W should be fully flexible, that's what I thought as well.

If it is required for some reason to not refund but change the ticket, you'll need to contact the original issuer to get it done. I would assume that a fully flexible ticket can be changed to any other fare.
