Is anyone else having problems with the flight number look up? Added a few flights today (both recently travelled, and upcoming) on BA and Flybe but the Yahoo lookup didn't seem to work. Not a biggie as the airport lookup works a treat.

I have a return flight in February that appears on my Flight Diary, but not on the Main Calendar. It appears to be the same problem that koksy reported above.

Details are :-

BA502 LHR-LIS 13/02/2009
BA503 LIS-LHR 15/02/2009

Cheers,
Rick
This happened to me once, but then after doing some digging around I noticed that I had un-ticked the "Show to public?" check box - shown when adding a flight into the diary.

Could this be the same for you?

Yes, this is a "feature" more than a bug. Under the "User Profile" screen are two options:
  1. 'Make my flight report publically viewable'
  2. 'Only show sectors already flown'
If you select (2) then any future sectors you add will by default have the 'Show to Public' box unchecked, will appear on your diary as a darker grey colour and will not appear on the public calendar or on your publically-viewable flight report (unless you view it when you're logged in).

You can selectively choose to show certain sectors if you wish by selecting this box when you add them, or editing existing sectors and selecting it.

Thanks! Exactly the problem User error.

I'd not noticed that checkbox before.

Now - I definitely didn't uncheck the box, so I think there is a bug somewhere - this was affecting all of my future flights. I've just tried another dummy flight, and it seems to default to 'checked'.

Cheers,
Rick

Hello BA97,

Many thanks for the fantastic calendar. I am always more than happy to guest fellow FTers and BA97ers into whatever lounges I can. If at all possible, please could you look at adding the following airlines:

Firefly (low cost spin-off "community airline" of Malaysian Airlines) http://www.fireflyz.com.my/

Omni Air International (famed "Red Neck Airways" who fly us when the RAF cannot) https://www.omniairintl.com/

Royal Air Force (while not strictly an airline, I fly with them an awful lot and our snazzy roundel ought to do as a logo) http://www.raf.mod.uk/

Air Botswana http://www.airbotswana.co.uk/airbotswana/index.cfm

If I was a bit cleverer, the links would be incorporated in the airline name. Sadly, I am mildly incompetent when it comes to such detail (despite TravellerFrequently's very kind IT lesson).

Lastly, the Wizz Air logo has never appeared properly in my calendar.

Regards,

Work-Shy

The calendar can be found at http://calendar.ba97.com. Since its launch in September 2005, 1800+ users have logged some 110 million flown miles in the calendar. I have no statistics over how many extra drinks in lounges this has cost various airlines!

There's various other addresses it can be reached via, including the named-after-now-defunct-subsidiary www.baconnect.org.uk or the root domain www.ba97.com which is a seperate site talking about my trip on Concorde close to its retirement.

This thread replaces the original, bloated launch thread - http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=475948.

Happy to take feedback or questions to this list. There is an administrators mailgroup administrators<at>ba97.com which you can also contact. Please note that the calendar is a free resource, so there's no guarantee of 24 hour availability nor an instant reaction to any bugs or change requests; all this stuff is on a best-efforts basis.

This post will be used to index future posts of interest to calendar users:

Thanks,

BA97

Good to hear! Welcome on board! I've added those airlines (and air force), and updated the Wizzair logo.

Wasn't working for me yesterday, seems to be working now. Edit: Actually, it only works when I'm in my Flight Diary editing mode (it didn't work for me there yesterday). When I'm viewing other FD's it doesn't work. Edit 2: Speaking of Flipping Codes- TRN (Torino), LLA (Kallax Airport, Luleå), and AJR (Arvidsjaur) are found in the database - though in the case of AJR and LLA it always reports that it's "Added new airport" - but show up as "undefined" when you flip airport/city codes.

I still can't add Lounge Club Memberships though.

City/code flipping should be working OK. Database doesn't like non-Latin character sets very much but i've sorted out the current problems.

Club memberships needs some work. They were previously treat as Elite tiers but I evidently got halfway through moving them to a seperate process!
