Hi Kev, BA have withdrawn form this route at the end of October.

the direct BA service from man-jfk ends at the end of october .....sorry.. if you want to fly BA you'll have to go via lhr or lgw .
ps watch that you don't have your shuttle arriving at lgw and the jfk flight departing from lhr or vice-versa

thanks for the promt replies.
Ive just looked at AA and it appears they dont fly MAN to JFK either although i am not sure if they ever did.

What options for are recommended for Manchester to New York flying basic class?

I am not sure if I can face the drive to London on the way back or the extra time involved in flying upto Manchester

Thanks for the heads up on the airport changes, ill keep an eye out.

AA have never flown out of MAN to JFK. They fly to ORD and in some years to DFW as well. If you want a BA flight to LHR or LGW, both have a frequent domestic service to MAN...LGW has about 7 flights a day and LHR a few more.

From Manchester, Delta fly into JFK once a day. Continental have 2 flights a day to Newark.

Pakistan International is another option into JFK.

Cheers,
Rick

Trust me - The Continental flight meets the basic requirement :(

It was always the cheapest MAN-NYC (EWR) flight. Very old 757-200 with drop down tv screens every 3 or 4 rows.

I wonder if BA dropping the route is connected to the AA (who fly to ORD from MAN) connection ?

Oh God, we have those flying ARN-EWR. They do, however, have standard power ports in the first quarter of economy, and you get very generous legroom on in row 7 and the right side of row 8. Incidentally, my sig came from one of these...
