Mixing award and payed within same ticket
I.e., is it possible to have a ticket in which part of the itinerary is mileage award, and part payed? Thank you for any insight.

No. It is not.

(I assume you do not mean the "BA miles + cash" option.)

Couldn't you have two separate PNRs and have BA link them? Seems as if it would be rather simple...

No, not based on my experience. I have asked BA about this on several occasions and they have always said it is not possible.

It would be good if this could be done and would have removed some problems I have experienced with issues such as checking baggage all the way through to my final destination.
