OT: Where to watch the rugby in Vegas
I'm in Vegas next weekend and sort of assumed my interest in the rugby would be over by then. Now of course, he situation has changed a bit and I need to find somewhere that'll be showing England/France over a nice lunchtime pint . Anyone got any ideas?
BTW, do you think the Aussies and Kiwis will be going home on the same plane??

You can also check www.setanta.com to locate venues showing the World Rugby Cup matches.

Hi
I think you might find the games will be on www.itv.com/rugby I am sure they are webbroadcasting the games. Ok I know its not in a bar but a few bears in your room at least..
Have a look and see if it helps
regards

You'd be amazed what sports bars deem worthy of showing. I can't tell you the number of times I've been stuck in a sports bar somewhere in the world which has promised "every rugby game live" or somesuch only to turn up and discover every screen is tuned to a 'nailbiting' Vauxhall Conference league nil-nil draw I gather that my local sports bar in Edinburgh, which bears a big banner proclaiming "Support your home nation in the rugby world cup here", chose to screen Celtic losing to Shakhtar Donetsk rather than Scotland's pool match against Romania.
The itv.com feed has been very reliable and useful during this tournament in my experience. You also don't have to listen to Brian Moore

Where to watch the rugby in Orlando
The result on Sat was fantastic, but like pfd I'd assumed we were heading for a southern Hemisphere Semi. so if anyone is familiar with anywhere in Orlando to watch the match, then a cold one on me!!

This may be a useful starting point for some (of a technically-minded nature):
http://liveonsat.com/rugby_union_int...end_yyyy=2007#
It's not currently listing who is covering next weekend's semi-finals but, as you can see from the coverage of today's two remaining quarter-finals, the list of satellites transmitting the fixtures is pretty extensive (please change the time zone to suit your location).
If you can match a satellite to a TV station you're in business.

There's an Enlgish bar (The George ?) up at the top end of International Drive, not far from the Crowne Plaza Universal (my top tip for a hotel in Orlando) and the 'Wet and Wild' theme park. Drop the kids off for a swim and then drown your own sorrows with a beer

Getting the matches live in the US is a bit of a problem.
Setanta is the broadcaster. They have a list of live venues on their web site, but it is very unreliable as many are closed when you want to watch, or carry other US sport wall-to-wall.
Setanta do Pay Per View on TV, but you need to be on a cable service that carries Setanta to get that, and most hotels do not.
Finally, Setanta do offer the matches live on broadband for a fee. It was $10 for the group games, $15 for the quarters. You need a good internet connection (mine is broadband cable and it struggles over the home wireless network). Be prepared for some frustration, but that may be your best bet.

Rugby in Vegas
I will be in LV for the RWC Final, and would also appreciate any posts on good Vegas Rugby venues. Especially first hand reports from the upcoming semi-finals!
I was thinking about watching at either the Caesars Palace or Hard Rock sports books.

Its west of Disney just off the I4 at junction 55. Maybe good depending on where you are staying.
