BKK lounge NOW OPEN

Just to let you know I am sitting in the QF/BA new lounge and it is very nice, I can still smell the new paint. It has a very nice computer area with 6 PC's and the lounge overall is quite long and slender similar to one at old airport. The food selection is far better but drinks selection could have a wider variety. only 2 beers singha and Heineken computers havent got Microsoft Office grrrrr . Oh well. there is also a very nice shower area and toilets. You have to keep your bags with you all the time as security is only at boarding.

ps the entrace is just before the G gate area as i got lost looking for it and you need to go all the way down to the G gate area too

Ahh, I thought it was new, I was in BKK on Saturday evening on the way from SYD to LHR and noticed it as I was walking to the gate. It wasn't there 2 weeks prior when I was on the outbound leg.

I had no access but it did look very shiny and new through the doorway

Any Champers? They used to have Moet at Don Muang.

Anyway at least it is time for my flight in a couple of weeks.

BTW what is the CX lounge there like?

Regards

John

Moet was only available on the F side.

The OP did not mention if there is still a seperate F/J lounge, can s/he confirm?

As in someone of Polish-extraction or sliding up and down one? As for polls, thanks for the info. Have you seen airlinemeals.net?

So is this new lounge a departure for BA from previous lounge designs (or is it based on Qantas Lounges)?

A few of the answers as I am now back in LHR T1 terraces

F lounge not quite open yet

There was champagne not sure what kind as I didn’t look at the wine section but did see 1 person pouring champagne

CX lounge was across the hall but was shut, as I wanted to see it

Lounge is more Qantas then BA and all signs said Qantas

As for my spelling .......
