Shopping at LGW when travelling on a domestic flight
If you are on an domestic flight from LGW N, are you permitted to buy anything from the airside shops?
Are the tax-free prices only available if you are departing the UK?

Looking for a cake slice? You might be able to steal one from Chez Gerard, Costa, Garfunkel's, etc while your server's back is turned; Harrods might have them for sale.

There is green label stuff you won't be able to buy - anything else is fair game.

I wonder what stuff the green label applies to.
This is different from LHR isn't it, where you can buy anything irrespective of destination?
Having said that, I noticed the LHR website also has the same references to green labels, although I have never seen any labelled items at LHR ever.

Hang on a minute. How the hell I am supposed to know which trip/flight you want to take your cake slice on? Your 'Can I take a cake slice in my hand baggage' thread doesn't provide any clues.
Do you think some of us have got nothing better to do all day than follow the travel adventures of Smirnoff?

I also have to take some cuff links LHR-AMS around Christmas, they look sharper than a cake slice and are not musical instruments. But definitely more dangerous than a tablespoon.
Please follow my travel adventures more closely in future.

Phil has a point Smirny. Can I suggest you add cake slice to the flight notes on BA97s calendar? And whilst you about it you should visit: http://www.carbonneutral.com/shop/re...p?cat1=Flights
and make a donation.

Before I stopped giving any more money to the incompetent imbeciles at BAA than I absolutely have to, I would nearly always avail myself of the 'Buy this, get 250 Bonus Points' offers at LGW pre-Domestic (usually going to visit friends so booze was a help!) no problems. I was particularly fond of the LP Twin Pack for 35 quid As Jenbel says though, some things are ex-EU only – but the shops normally do a pretty good job with signs saying “This offer available to all passengers” if not.
