BA Houston - Detroit on 12/6
I was changing planes in Detroit (NW Airlines) on Wednesday 6 December - looked on the monitor for my flight gate - and saw a NW departure to Houston, a CO departure to Houston, and was surprised to see a BA departure to Houston.
It was between 2 and 3 in the afternoon.
I am presuming this was a flight from Britain to Houston that made a brief detour to Detroit??
Anybody know? I started to see if they would let me switch airlines for the rest of my journey!

You presume wrong
LHR-DTW-IAH on a 767 is what used to be the LHR-ORD-IAH scheduled 777 service to get around Bermuda II which prevents BA flying LHR-IAH direct. This is in addition to their double daily LGW-IAH services.

Hi,
And unfortunately , no, you cannot book BA DTW-IAH alone ( you need to be continuing from LHR) as non us airlines are not allowed to sell tickets wholly within the US unless part of the intl journey.
Regards
