Does the BA shareholder discount apply to US stock?
 

If you own British Airways stock that is listed on the NYSE as BAB, do you still get the same shareholder discount? I haven't been able to find an answer on BA's investors relations page.

Also when using the discount, are you usually using it on a higher priced fare to begin with or can you use it on the lowest fare that you might find on ba.com?

I remember reading somewhere it is only for BA shares held in London. And (if you didn't know) the discount can only be used on UK-originated flights.

I think it's only valid for the UK stock (hence the exUK only restriction) BUT check with BA via www.bashares.com.

I just received my 2007 discount codes in the mail yesterday; if you don't get these then likely your shares cannot utilise this discount.

NB it is 15% off until end December 2006.

You can use it on any fare, but it only applies to the ticket part, not the tax/fees or fuel surcharge. Bu you do get the booking fee off as well.

Note shareholder tickets cannot be upgraded using miles.
