Amex 2-4-1 voucher extension - last chance ?

Search appears to be broken but I remember reading a post (by Raffles I think ?) that the Amex 2-4-1 vouchers will not be extendible (even by 3 months as they are currently) from 1 October. If my recollection is correct, this is just a reminder to people to sort this out today/tomorrow for any existing vouchers!

I just phoned and extended my voucher which expires in July 2007 for a further 3 months.

Good heads up. ^
I received mine last week and had it extended the same day by a bemused agent.

They become non extendable from 1 November, not October.

Goodness, I can scarcely wait to use mine when I get it, how can you keep it over a year without it burning a hole in something?!

Raffles? Raffles!? I think the OP of that thread was somebody rather more handsome than Raffles

And like adam1uk correctly states, it is to be implemented on 1st November 2006.

It's not that we want to keep them; it's the getting availability in the right class on the right route that's the thing

(using mine for two returns to CPT in Feb )

A combination of no time and no availability. Most of my trips are booked on the basis of "I must travel on that flight out, and that flight back", or else I don't go at all. Not very conducive to getting one award seat (eg for MFU), let alone two - let alone two on each of the outbound and return flights!

Try Tobago... great availability throughout June And one flight a week means there isn't a great deal of choice about dates

Sorry to bump and old thread:

My folks have a 241 which is due to expire 1st October - I won't go into specifics but if they could extend it to the 1st Nov it would make the world of difference. Is this a possibility?

Thanks is advance
