Worst Value use of BA Miles ever?
Just booked a long weekend break in Sharm el Sheikh for some diving in the winter and thought after booking, I would check out what the cost of a miles plus cash booking was
Couldn't really believe what I saw:
Cost of flight if paid by cash - £197.40
Cost of miles plus cash - £199.40 PLUS 30K miles!!!!!
Has anyone come accross anything as bad as this before - where using miles is £2 and 30K more expensive than cash?

Whatever the case, the more ill-informed/stupid people who do this, the better for the rest of us who know how to use the miles for good value redemptions - less competition!

This we've seen before - otherwise known as the great Air Miles scam;
London to Dublin for 500 AM's + £46 tax (subject to availability) or alternatively pick up a fare on BA's website for £75 (inc tax). This makes your AM's worth about 0.058p each, despite this some credit cards are still offering a very generous 1 AM per £20 spent!
