Extending an AMEX 241
 

Who do I call to do it?? The voucher helpline is the obvious choice - 0870 555 0222. However, when I called that, I ended up with some BA guy who said I needed to speak to AMEX, and I should call 0870 555 0222 (yes, the number I rang in the first place!). :(

Anyone know the magic key sequence to get to the right point in the menu???

Phone BAEC, and they'll sort you out. Eg, 0870-8505850 for the Silver line. I did this at the weekend, and it was sorted with no problems.

Is it still three months extension only?

Posting the phone number for an elite line is not encouraged.

Ta - amusingly the menu on that number appears to be exactly the same as the one I tried in the first place. I suspect they all go to the same place. I'll give it a try at a less busy period, and let you know what extension I get.

I though the following on this months statement was a bit ominous:

British Airways American Express Reward Ticket Promotion Reminder
Customers are reminded that, as per the terms and conditions effective 1 October 2005, Companion vouchers (reward tickets) are
valid for 12 months and need to be exchanged for a ticket within that time. Outbound travel must be taken before the expiry date
on the voucher. Vouchers are non extendable.
