Live seat maps?
 
Is there a way to see live seat maps without logging in to Expertflyer or without having a reservation held/booked?

Yes - the CWT/ITN tool, although generally does not work with BA flights.

Otherwise could I suggest becomming a travel agent? ;)

you could try a dummy booking at www.expedia.com or www.orbitz.com as they have a show seats free option.
