Mixing classes on Amex 241 (out First, return Club)

Hi,
Aplogies if this has already been covered here...I did search first, but couldn't find a thread..

I'm looking to spend 125K miles with an amex 241 in the following way:

Out: LHR-LAX in FIRST (75k miles)
Return: TPA-LGW in Club World (50k miles)

Does anyone know if this is allowed using a 241? I know that with MFU you cannot mix classes unless one is sold out, but I do recall reading somewhere on here that when booking a 241, u can fdo this (in effect booking a 1way FIRST and 1way Club World) ?

With a MFU, you most certainly CAN mix classes. You can book WT+ one way, J the other and upgrade to J and F.

What you can't do, is upgrade one way only, unless the other way is unavailable or has no higher booking class.
