Questions?

Hello
Did fly Arn-Jfk out and Ewr-Arn back i club. I have some questions.
Why dos the 777 have smaller tv screens? Do they have the games? I dident manage to get to them.
In Ewr the tv over economy check in desk promote to ask for an uppgrade for 250us. I have never seen that in Sweden or uk is it only for us?

Thanks

Tord

I asked a similar question back in March. It turns out that those 777's with GE engines have a different TV system, which comes with smaller screens. 777's with RR engines have the normal screens.

The $250 upgrade on economy tickets appears to be standard practice in the US. However, if you do a search under '£200' on here, you will find that it is possible to pay on-board for £200 to be upgraded to WT+ if there are seats available.

This was my understanding too, until yesterday, when I was on a 777 with the GE 90 engines AND large screens (and 18 channels of entertainment, unlike the 12 you get with the small TV screens). Turns out, BA have 3 different types of 777 in their fleet. The small TV/12 channel 777 have been operating a lot on the JFK run recently; an obvious choice really, when you consider that this is supposed to be BA's money-spinner...
