Any ideas for FF alternatives on BA??

I am flying on BA (IAH - LGW) next week for vacation and had planned to use my AA card to accumulate frequent flier miles. But, I just noticed that AA will not give me those miles for any BA transatlantic flights. Is there a way around this? I do not fly BA often, so I would be wasting those miles on the BA club. Any other major US carrier FF would be OK too, I just did not see any others on the BA website (I do not fly Alaska either).

Any insight would be much appreciated!!
Thanks!

AMERICA WEST. I send mine to QF (Qantas) usually though.

Do you still get only 25% for WT flights?

Yes, BA only offers 25% for WT flights. Appreciate the comments. The more that I look at it, I think either America West or Alaskan Airlines will do, since I can probably build it up enough to use in combination with an AA / NW / CO award.

Thanks!

Considering you are in the southeast US this may not be a practical option for you, but you could fly via Canada. AA does give (and lets you redeem) points for BA flights from Canada.
