The board never really had any regular Concorde pax anyway, the majority were award passengers or people who bought tickets through the Starwood promotion last year. Personally I don't see any difference in the content since Concorde's end...

It was fairly obvious that none of the PAX were "regular" Concode PAX. We met a few in the Concorde Lounge back in Sept as the Concorde came to an end. Most were of the type that most likely took out a second mortgage on their homes to make that final series of flights.

I just meant that the content of this string has become less interesting. Loved all the banter about the Concorde and "first class" . Between you and me, it was funny to listen to those who flew both for the first time.

I tend to agree about this "getting somewhat booring" part. I've not been part of the community too long, and I tend to look mostly for discussions about how to "work the system" -but it seems like those are being beaten down ("Stop, this is an upgrade question") by a small group of people who would like to see themselves as extension of the BA board of directors

Ah well, that sounded too harsh - I've been getting some great and incredibly helpful help from the very same people (much grateful!) - but there's something stale/boring about the forum lately...

The ex-concorde passengers don't have time to post anymore now that it takes a working day to get across the pond!

Agree though the discussion of F is funny, especially the emphasis on 1A&K - who wants to sit beside a cloakroom?

Surely that's the same for BA in general? Remove Concorde and all you have left is an airline with nothing that outwardly projects it above the rest. Concorde certainly had that vital subconcious effect to even the most infrequent of fliers which made it one of the best airlines in the world to many. That image may be more difficult to maintain without the kudos of supersonic travel.

The board is far from dull though, certainly a handful of contributors make it essential reading in my opinion.

1A/K is critical for those of us that never got round to taking our Commercial Pilots Licence and are wanna be BA Pilots! I am flying next week and have my "Early Learning Center" stering wheel ready to stick on to the bulk head :-)

Don't forget to ask in the Concorde Room if they can get one of those red buggies with the yellow roof to take you from the Concorde Room to your gate

Yawn. Pardon?

Boring is as boring does.

Wind up?

Nothing personal, but if you're just noticing this, then you haven't been here that long.

That's part of the charm of this particular community.

If you feel that the Board is boring, then do, pray, please liven it up!

I'm sure that another of your fascinating and witty contributions on the subject of Eve Lom eye gel is exactly what the board is missing at this time.

It was always ready as the second standby in case both the main Concorde and the backup Concorde went tech. That way the pax could at least be guaranteed a ride on a part of British airliner history.

Seriously, this site explains everything, and this site has more details about how you can help if you are interested.
