one of the main guys involved with the preservation is an AF engineer called Neil Lomax, met him on 24th October. There is a big fundraising campaign to save the Trident from being scrapped

Sigh. How I'd love to fly a Trident. Or a VC-10. Or Comet, or Brittania...

All I have is a BAC-111. Oh, and that pointy one.

Back on topic - I agree!

What we need is another promo like the Jaguar test drive. That'll liven things up!

Well, it'd liven me up, anyhow!

I imagine each purser on every flight I take as being Pucci. Makes me a warm and friendly traveller

(a) Maybe so (answering someone's direct question as I recall), but then it wasn't me who complained about the board being boring!

(b)And while, sadly, we can't all live up to your Wildean standards on the board, I did organise last week's drinks in London, which was very far from boring. Not a mention of eye gel either.

And, by the way, it's "emAnating".

I don't remember the flights, but my Junior Jet Club logbook shows a number of Trident flights LHR-GLA in 1982.....I was less than 6 months old.

But then it got changed to "Skyflyers" and the magic seemed to fade.....
