help with BAEC membership

Hello to all

Well after investigating the BAEC I have found all relative details about points miles and status and I can easily make silver by the summer with my planned travel to date. So from what I understand is this correct?

So from what I understand is that I can register for my BAEC account in the UK or mainland Europe, as I have a home in Spain, but if I do get EU membership can I get the card sent to my UK or Ireland address.

Also, in my working out of tier points for my coming flights am I right in this calculation

DUB-LHR-AGP-BCN-DUB in C on Iberia. Does this earn me 160 tier points i.e. 40 per sector? And I have a couple of MAN-DUB on EI in C do these earn me 40 points per sector?

Also I am trying to book a BA flight to qualify for membership but the only flight I have coming up that I am not booked for is a DUB-MAN but that is after my above trip so can I claim for it or is the membership activated by the first BA flight. The DUB-MAN codeshare on EI is gone cant seem to find it anywhere but if I do, would this qualify for a membership flight?

Just sign up online and put the (future) flight ref in. It will give you an EC number but someone may follow up, but probably not before you have taken and posted both flights so should be fine.

You don't need to book after applying. In fact, it is better if you book your flights first, then apply as you have to have either booked or flown before applying. Your first sector (DUB-LHR) will qualify you.

All you need is your DUB-LHR BA flight number, date and departure airport. Once you have these, and before you travel, go here (for Spain): http://www.britishairways.com/travel...l/public/es_es and enrol online. The membership will be activated when you take the first flight.

We are very much looking forward to watching the froggies hammer you lads on Saturday.

Be mindful that promotion to silver is conditional on flying 4 eligible sectors on BA.
