Lounges at JFK T4
 

I just found out that I'll be stranded for 6 hours tomorrow evening at JFK T4.

I'll be arriving on a BA flight at 6 PM and my next flight is at 12 AM on Lan Chile.

Are there any suitable lounges at JFK T4 (BA Gold)? I have never been there before, so, any info provided is appreciated

There is a shared lounge outside security at T4. I haven't been in it, so I dunno if it is any good.

There are the AA ACs at T8 and T9 if you want to soak up the ambience there. As a BA Gold, you should get 2 drink chits (plus more if you ask).

Sometimes BA allows arriving BA pax to use the BA departure lounge -- it depends on the security situation so often it is not possible (normally you need to be departing from this termimal to access the lounges). But these are the best lounges at JFK so worth asking. Presumably you are coming from LHR, in which case I would ask Special Services at LHR to contact JFK requesting lounge access while you wait for your long connection.

I presume you're on the LA flight to LIM/SCL. LA staff should turn up about 8pm for check-in. Last time it was at the opposite end of the Terminal from El Al near the Air India desks. Prior to check-in, T4 isn't the worse place to pass a couple of hours and has some okay food concessions.

After check-in you can use the Aer Lingus Gold Circle lounge. Medium sized lounge but not bad on the whole. It has a basic shower room, some wraps and sandwiches to nibble on and most importantly Red Stripe beer and Appleton rum as a result of Air Jamaica sharing the lounge.
