Warning: Personal Injury

So, has anyone else managed to stab themselves in the thigh whilst wearing a pair of Concorde cufflinks?

Happpened to me on a recent Heathrow shuttle: sat down next to a not-unattractive young lady and in the process slid my hands down my trouser legs (in the standard Western-gentleman-sitting-down fashion).

And then, the piercing pain in my right thigh and a surprised yelp from myself; making myself look extremely stupid in the process.

So, there's two options here: either I need to fashion some rubber/cork protection for the pointy bits, or I need to invest suit trousers with a thicker weave (preferably kevlar).

You could always retire them as they are no longer economically viable.....especially if you are ripping suit truosers on them

Hhhmmm, sounds like a true "fashion victim" to me...

Can probably lend you some kevlar, although not sure that it will work well with the gentleman image...

No - but I have wondered sometimes how many suits have been wrecked by the cufflinks as people put their jackets on ...

...and forced-yelping in front of an not-unattractive young lady should count toward emotional damages as well. Go get 'em...

You could always have Concorde flying up your arm rather than towards your wrist...would that solve the piercing problem?

Does "not-unattractive" qualify as a backhanded compliment??
