BA Staff nominations

Pucci or Maw - if only we could nominate you!

https://www.britishairways.com/webmail/csaward

Who in British Airways has provided you with outstanding service? Who has made you feel truly valued? Who has gone the extra mile and made your journey really memorable? Please help us recognise the great service given by our people every day by nominating a member of British Airways staff for our Customer Award.

In November each year we select four finalists to join another 20 people nominated by their colleagues for our Customer Service and Operations People Awards. The ceremony takes place in December where the winners in each award category are announced in front of an audience of senior British Airways managers.

If you feel someone deserves recognition, please tell us about them in the space below.

Anybody who gets an award wins a small award: cinema token etc, and a note in their personnel file. You also get different coloured pins for more and more such recognitions, so I would urge any FTers here to drop a letter or e-mail if they do get good service from a memeber of BA staff. Mrs Driller certainly appreciated the letters of recognition she got.

Are they shown the names and comments of the people who write in?

Once, when I choked on a cough drop and had to put a bag to my mouth, a sweet FA came by me as we were waiting to deplane and asked, in a concerned voice, "Are you all right?". I was very touched. But I didn't get her name.

Sounds more like a normal human response than someone going out of their way to assist someone...

I believe so, if the letter makes it to cabin crew management. Certainly, that's what I've been reliably told.

Obviously Pucci has won this award many, many times but modesty dictates that she does not mention it here.

Bump

Unfortunately this scheme has closed, just when I needed it! I've just returned from a fantastic trip to Milan, made even more special by having one of the BA crew who was on duty on my Concorde trip on board.

She was silver service personified - wonderfully friendly, no request was too much trouble, and she actually remembered me (she volunteered the fact that she'd moved me forward in the cabin before I mentioned it!). We had a good chat about Concorde, and she mentioned that she's moving back to long haul soon.

And, as a wonderful touch, as we started our descent, she came over, presented me with a carrier bag and said "your duty free sir". Inside were 4 bottles of champers!

Such a co-incidence, and even more so when it was repeated on my return trip tonight.

Does anyone (Pucci/Maws perhaps) know who I can send a letter of commendation to at BA?

I love BA!

Posted in my abscence!

Apols - must read FT threads first before enthusistically posting upon the return from a trip.......

Be sure not to mention the part about the Champers in a letter or you might end up with her getting trouble rather than praise!

Had already decided that was a fringe benefit not to mention.

Sent my letter on the 24th, and this morning got a very nice reply from Joy Hordern, thanking me for my comments, and assuring me that they would be passed on.

I know BA have their detractors, and that staff can have their off days as well as their good ones, but I've stopped looking elsewhere for flights - both on personal and business travel.

I'd much rather chance a 1 in a 1000 bad service experience probability with BA than the 1:1 from Ryanscair or Sleazyjet.
