How did BA cope with the England rugby team?

Maybe there's a simple answer to this.

How did they manage to get onto BA16 together? I assumed that once a team gets knocked out of the Rugby world cup, they come home pretty well straightaway. It would have been a bit presumptious of England to book to come home the day after the final before the tournament started. So do they book to come back after the group stages are over, and then keep moving the booking back as they progress through the tournament? Remember, there's 30 players, at least a dozen coaching and other staff, wives, girlfriends, and bill. It's not like they can be accommodated at short notice in the premium cabins without slinging everyone else off.

Ideas/insights?
