I rang the call button because I just wanted to give you this!
I had such an enjoyable flight with you today that I just wanted to give you this as a "thank you".
What do you think would be appreciated by a Cabin Crew member, as a "thank you" gesture? Hand full of tenners? Gold watch from the DXB d-f? A liter of Bombay, decanted into a Highland Spring bottle? Any serious responses please. UA had some sort of appreciation cards that passengers could give out after special service. cheers, TLA |
Call me old-fashioned/British/completely-insane.... but I always think that the best "thank you" is to be GENUINELY nice, polite, sincere and cheerful...
I know its not "hard cash"/material (which seems to becoming more and more important - especially in the US), but if you can make someone feel appreciated and good about themselves, then you have normally made them quite happy (even if they are having a bad day). Ok, I know it is mad (and I sounds like my mother), but this world would be a better place if more people thought like that... Boo (preparing to be packed off to the mad house...) |
A sincere, sober, straightforward thank you for a job well done is all that I ever reward flight crews with.

Slightly off the point but DXB d-f has generally higher prices than can be found in Dubai City. I checked both electronics and watches and found prices in city consistently and significantly lower.

I know its impossible to get you BA folks back on topic once you start to drift off.. but:
I usually bring something like cadbury's chocolates or some other candy to give to the purser.. The number of times I've asked for the CSD or Purser and been asked "Whats wrong".. its nice to see the turnaround in their body langage when they get handed the chocs http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
