On the subject of outages...I was amazed to note that it's not going to be possible to make WT+ redemption bookings for 3 weeks in October while 'BA are making some improvements'. 3 weeks? Are they building a new shed for the Exec Club gnomes to work in?

3 weeks does seem outrageous, though personally I don't see the point in WT+ awards, if you can afford to make the 'upgrade' from a WT (shudder) redemption to a WT+ you should really consider making a CW award instead http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Agreed, but remember that WT+ awards used to be x1.25 instead of x1.5 at which point they were far better value and more reflective of the product difference.

But then if they weren't x1.5 now I suppose we wouldn't have the x0.5 to upgrade WT+ to NCW so its all swings and roundabouts...

True, except when CW and WT are both booked solid.

That's why the spouseperson is travelling WT+ to meet me in LA. At least we're travelling back together in CW with only the aisle separating us.
