Of course he would receive that service due to his solid platinium #7 frequent-flyer card, wouldn't he

Maybe he didn't want to be on the same flight as Dave and asked to be offloaded

I once sat in 2 seats away from Gordon Brown when he was chancellor. I was in 1D, he was in 1F and his rather large minder was stuck between us in 1E.

It was probably the most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on, even though it was only 60 minutes or so; i spent most of the time tilted at a 30 degree angle.

However, the most memorable thing from the flight was the minder reading notes on his lap and I distinctly remember seeing the names and addresses of other then-cabinet members on display and thinking it probably wasn't a good thing that I could read them.

How remarkable!

I bet it has a similar bias against a North Lincolnshire coastal town too. Ridiculous.

An AA card wouldn't get him into the CCR, silly

I sat behind Jeremy Paxman in CE (him in 1A, me in 2A) a few weeks ago on a flight to MAD. He had a very attractive young travelling companion with him...

She was in the CCR Sunday morning.

As was Jude Law, Sienna Miller (not together although 'shared' his kids), Christian Bale and Samantha Cameron. All with there families with the exception of Mr Cameron. It certainly was a celeb fest that day as Duncas has said.
