Apparently, all (if not most) airlines use www.worldtracer.com to allow pax to trace their missing baggage.

All you have to do is make a minor modification (the airline code before the .htm) at the end of the URL and voila!

http://www.worldtracer.com/filedsp/ba.htm
(British Airways)

http://www.worldtracer.com/filedsp/ac.htm
(Air Canada)

http://www.worldtracer.com/filedsp/cx.htm
(Cathay Pacific)

http://www.worldtracer.com/filedsp/lh.htm
(Lufthansa)

http://www.worldtracer.com/filedsp/sq.htm
(Singapore Airlines)

http://www.worldtracer.com/filedsp/qf.htm
(Qantas)

etc.

You get the idea?

Basically, the webpage is the same for all airlines except for the logo that gets displayed.

For some extra fun, use the code and name located on the BA page (I didn't look at the others, could be the same).

You'll have the low-down on Mr Johnson travel plans (including a suitcase with one book, some champagne and a white dress).

This is quite clearly a fictitious entry, used as a test for the system, quite amusing anyhow.

Perhaps an appropriate place to remind folks to afix colored ribbons to the handle(s) of your luggage, so someone doesn't mistakenly think it is theirs and take it from the carrousel.
