Can you say back-peddle? I knew you could.

Recent reports from the UK confirm that BA is returning to the old stylized Union Jack logo.

Selected items from teletext.co.uk:
BA TO FLY THE FLAG AGAIN
British Airways is to ditch its ethnic tailfin logos and replace them with
Union Jacks.

The moves comes two years after the much-criticised £60 million re-branding,
featuring designs from Delft pottery to Chinese calligraphy, were first
unveiled.
-----
BA spokesman Jamie Bowden said: "Effectively what has happened is the
research has shown that it's what customers, particularly UK customers,
want.
-----

The change of heart means 160 aircraft will be "flying the flag" again
within 18 months and the rest of the 340-strong fleet will follow after.

Chief executive Bob Ayling said: "BA is a British-based airline. The
decision we have taken reflects this reality.

BA are dismissing this as a 0 cost excercise because the aircraft will only be repainted as part of their 5 yearly routine painting cycle. However, since the rebranding seems to have gone a lot deeper than just aircraft colours, all you BA shareholders deserve to be pretty upset...
