No Catering on some flights [Sat 30 Sep to <ongoing>], Heathrow infrastructure issue

Didnt see an existing thread on this but a tunnel closure is reducing the catering available.

We're very sorry to let you know that, we are unable to offer you our standard food and drinks service on your flight with us tomorrow. We have had to take this decision due to an unexpected airfield tunnel closure at London Heathrow, which is affecting our catering operation. We wanted to let you know in case you want to grab something from the airport prior to boarding the aircraft. If you purchased items from our High Life Caf, we'll automatically refund you.

For our customers travelling in Club Europe, please speak to a member of our team who will be able to provide you with a refreshment voucher.

Sorry again and we look forward to welcoming you onboard.

T4 bound traffic including Flight Connections is all going round the southern runway with a security escort, mayhem it seems.

I did sneak in a reference in today's Cancellations report, and suggested the reasons why it would perhaps affect catering. But it was wildly off topic there!

Oh thanks. I've not had this yet, but I'm there for ages anyway so I'll pie-up if nothing on the plane is available. Assuming I can get into a lounge.

How can anyone think of Avios at a time like this?

I just hope they manage to dig the D&Co Food Goblins out of the tunnel before they're forced to eat the beef cheeks.

I recently received a 100 eVoucher for a VIE-LHR sector with no CE catering in early July. My complaint was that we were not notified prior to boarding.

That's a better response that I received for lack of Club World catering on a flight last month. All the food was contaminated so binned before the flight. A defrosted foil tray meal was provided instead of the full range of items for dinner and breakfast. Compensation was refused. An apology was the only response.

All better than I received - 5000 for no catering loaded on an EDI - LHR (in CE) flight in April, no mention in the lounge that there was no food loaded - and cabin crew commented on that fact.

If I knew my flight wasn't going to be catered, I'd eat handsomely in the lounge and then claim my 15,000. That's a lot of points.

The one any only time I was on a non-catered flight I only got 6000 Avios and that was a 4 four flight from PFO, not down from MAN!
