S24 price hikes
Has anyone else noticed a sudden price hike for flights in June-July 2024?
This seems to have only happened in the last week, but now, for example, the cheapest return fare from LHR-PMI is Ł650. The same has happened to other leisure routes such as LHR-FAO.
And before anyone says it is because BA only release the lower fare buckets nearer the time, this isn’t the case here, as flights were cheaper and even during May half-term you can bag a better fare.

Yes, I previously posted about the fact that DXB flights in WTP (possibly other cabins) go up, and then up again, over the end of June/start of July. If you're using the google flights matrix to search, it's a very clearly defined block of dates where it moves - these aren't random price hikes.
This was a few weeks ago and the suggestion was to wait a bit as it was still fairly new inventory. Well, I'm still waiting...
Not like this is even school holiday territory. It's about as low season as it gets out there, given the heat!

I also did notice significant changes in prices. Wanted to book a trip to US in summer, but currently double the price compared to 2023.
Prices from MUC to JNB would explode already way earlier. Seems as there was a significant price adjustment 1.1.2023 1345 vs. 2305 € per flight.
So i guess i will have to fly another carrier next year,....

But for everyone else, you might want to take a look at your own searches to see if July 2024 is looking better for wherever you want to go...

From Ł1,5000 to over Ł8k

How much!I was looking at a return to Chicago for the middle of April – in first – and it was roughly Ł1500 each way. While the return is still the same price, the outbound has shot up to something astronomical – can’t help thinking this is some error…

That is a fairly common fare once the A bucket disappears and you are left with full F only. Some people even pay that!

Well, FAO-LGW 22/12/23 has dropped in the last couple of days to €39 in Y and €178 in CE. Both at least €100 cheaper than 10 days ago. I jumped on it. And now they're being stingy with Avios, I even booked Y.
