BA Whisky thread
I couldn’t find a specific thread and I know a few of us on here like a wee dram now and again (translation: a small serving of whisky!).
I have been collecting some photos of the whisky selections in a few lounges over the last few weeks:
EDI lounge:

They have a Singleton 12 year malt, Johnnie Walker red label, Mortlach 14 year (my choice), Talisker surge (not really a fan but it retails at 126, whatever that tells you!), and Bulleit Bourbon.
LGW GF:

As above with the addition of JW black label, JW blue label (very much the Diet Coke of blended malts IMHO but again retails at 149 so not bad for self pour options) and Roe & Co Irish Whiskey.
LHR GF:

As per LGW but minus JW blue and note the presence of brandy!
LHR CCR:

No self pour here but same selection as LGW GF.
My personal favourite find was the Highland Park 15 year in the BOS lounge where they have a good selection (no photos sadly).

Fantastic idea for a thread, I can't agree with all your characterisations, but hey, isn't that have the fun of enjoying the finest spirit 😉
Looking forward to lots of contributions, and I'll try to remember to make them myself!

Yes, they'd make a good antiseptic i guess.
I'll hold my hand up and admit i'm a whisky snob. Although i am partial to a Blue Label which gets a rough time and is over-priced but to my surprise they have it to free-pour in the ABZ lounge which i was most surprised at give its price point.

Sadly, apart from the lounges, this is going to be a limited thread - the onboard whisky options are really mediocre.

First class:

Club world:

Club Europe:

Despite what I have said about JW I am quite partial to enjoying a Johnnie Ginger in CW:

and a Highland sling in F:

I have heard stories of it occasionally arriving in EDI but never seen it myself, although have seen lots of advertising of JW Blue at various times on big posters in the lounge.

I don't have anything against Speyside (and will pretend not to have heard you on those whisky cocktails) but give me a good, old, peaty Islay after my meal any day... If BA want to personally apologise for a long recent string of cancellations, I'll gratefully accept a box of the full collection of Port Ellen Releases...
