Advice sought regarding east coast weather this weekend
Sorry to be a pain I was wondering if anyone could help with a predicament this weekend. Due to fly on ba117 lhr-jfk connecting to aa the transcon to lax leaving at 7:30pm. There is a waiver for all travel on as going through JFK due to the expected weather. Am I able to do anything with this to try to prevent getting stuck in JFK. Ticket is Ba stock through ba holidays

You would have to email the duty manager if you wanted to do something:
Disruption Assistance thread - signposts and what you need to know
Broadly speaking my feeling is that with so many uncertainties you can't really do anything until something actually happens. It is true that JFK isn't that robust during bad weather, but where would you go via instead? BOS? CLT? PHL? And the way bad weather works in the USA is that if there is something going on in JFK / LGA / EWR then all aviation seems to get caught up in it somehow. JFK at least gives you options, and you will get out at some point.

Also, the AA forum has a dedicated IRROPS thread which covers weather issues. So far theres no real chatter about the weather.
I did also get an email from AA about potential disruption this weekend but so far theres not been any proactive itinerary changes.
