I had seat alert changes and then email advising of flight time changes earlier for booking next May.
I've been put on the 787 flight with same flight numbers BA273/272 so i think the 777 (BA265/264) is the new flight, no?
Either way, can i request to be put onto the earlier 777 flights?

Great to see this. It’s a lovely city indeed and far less stressful as an airport to navigate than LAX. Shame there is no F though. It’s the longest flight from LHR to the US and has a hugely wealthy catchment area in SD county and OC.

Had a really good flight on that route earlier this year, but the SAN lounge really is dreadful.

Just curious what lounge they use for their J, Saphire, Golds and GGL folks?

Aspire Lounge. It's ok, barely. In the mornings(only time I have been in there), lots of flights going out and it can get crowded.

As a San Diego resident, I’m happy to see a second daily flight to LHR. However, I’m going to miss the business class seats with the door on the A350-1000. The business class seats on the 787 and 777 are less desirable due to density and forward facing/reverse facing seat arrangement, IMHO. I definitely miss the first class seats that we formerly had with the 747 on this route.

The same number of US destinations as before, just another flight there. Which would seem to indicate that the flights to that US destination are doing quite well.

Great to see another flight. Shame no F so doesn't change much for me personally. As a previous poster mentioned I miss 1A (or any row really) on the 747, having taken 10 minutes to get from car to gate (no need for a lounge).

The 777's based at Heathrow have the same seats as the A350, and the 787-8 starts the conversion process I believe next month.

The A350 switch happens on the same day as HKG route switches a 350 with a 788

I didn't think the BA 772s had the range for SAN - clearly they do.

Presumably BA will sell F on the 772s, althought it's refurbished F.
787-8 has no F, but might get the occasional FLUB if they use a 787-9
