I always check bags so do not access lounge before 3 hours departure. First time no checked bag...anyone with first hand knowledge if firstly open at 2 am and whether I am permitted access?

I think Dan E (or one of the Dan lounges in T1) is open 24/7 so as long as you have a BP, you are good to go. Not sure why but sometimes they ask for my BAEC number (which is already printed on BP) so prepared to know where that is.

Just a reminder that Prosperos super helpful dashboard (stickies at the top of the Ba forum thread list) includes links to all Ba lounges by region. The first question when you click to Israel is in fact is the lounge open 24 hours? (and the answer is yes).

The OneWorld database shows the lounge is open 24 hours but also says this is for BA flights only and also says "Access 3 hours prior to departure". Given currently two flights a day, what happens if you arrive before 3 hours prior to departure? These two things seem not to be aligned!
I have been refused early access to other Dan lounges when flying out of Tel Aviv with Iberia (Business and OWE) and have a "vested interest" as am currently looking at flights in 2024 that would see me take a 0710 departure to Heathrow. With the trains, (I would be coming from the north of Israel), I think the latest I would arrive is 0100 (perhaps 0200 if I am brave enough to take the last train). As I would be hand baggage and Business, I suspect I could get to the lounge well ahead of 3 hours prior to departure, even with the extra step of security questioning.

I try and aim for the mid-afternoon BA flight as that is all-round more convenient but sometimes the price for less convenient options wins!!!!!!!!
Am becoming quite a regular visitor to Israel now as that is where my girlfriend lives. If I take the afternoon departure I am at the lounge less than 3 hours before so your update would be very handy!!!

Sorry but it's not that easy to find / navigate. I couldn't find details of the TLV lounge when I was visiting last month. The stickies are a bit of a sticky mess

At Dan E...front door opened at 403...advised that was standard operating procedure plus minus a few minutes....flight leaves at 710.
Other Dan lounges could be accessed before this opening but would one be prevented from moving between lounges once Dan E opened is the question.

The E lounge, while better than the other lounges, is not exclusive to BA. Its also use by VS (whose flight times are very similar to BAs), UA, and EK. With lounges normally open 3 hours before flight time, you can do the math to see when the lounge opens

Based on my experience when flying with Iberia, I was refused early access at another Dan lounge (C I think) based on the fact that access was only allowed 3 hours before flight departure so unless the lounge agent at another lounge was feeling generous, I suspect you would not be allowed in any lounge anyway!
