BA LHR-Doha Route Cancelled for 2 weeks in December

It seems that BA's seasonal cancellation of the LHR-Doha route has just kicked in. I just received confirmation that my return flight has been cancelled, meaning I will have to slum it in QR First instead. I might just about cope

LHR-DOH seems to be cancelled from 11-24 Dec inclusive (return flights are the following day). Restarting the route on Christmas Day seems an odd decision, although I guess they might be doing a rolling cancellation and just haven't updated timetables yet.

Enjoy QR First - I got put in it when BA cancelled my Singapore flight. Was good - enhanced by the fact it was just me and my partner (Bathroom each, Crew member each). Nothing mind blowing at all though.

Cabin Crew may escort you up to the bar and allow you to drink from the F menu (Krug) which gets you a few looks from the J passengers.

Very annoying as I've just seen the cancellation email from BA. We have 4 x Avios tickets booked during that period and connecting in DOH to QR metal, where we have 2 x reward flights and 2 x cash fares, for our second leg.

Wondering (before I speak to BA) whether anyone has any views / share any experience regarding whether they may consider switching us to QR metal from LHR for the same day, so we can catch our onward flights from DOH? Not sure I've come across 4 x reward seat availability on QR J, before.....

yes, rebook on QR in J should be fine. you won't need reward availability for it, just space in the cabin.

normally the policy for F rewards is that you get rebooked in to QR J - there should be some refund as well. it is possible you may get lucky if calling youfirst.

Yes that was the policy last time, Z had to go into QR Business into U or the lowest selling class available. WT+ into QR Y though the Gatwick flight would be an option for that

Krug disappeared months ago Im afraid. You can also walk to the bar yourself without an escort

Yes. It just referred me to options under Manage My Booking (of which Cancel is the only option). Not an option.

You need a human- if you type "speak to an agent" (maybe repeatedly) you'll get someone. I've had flights rebooked by them before. Hope you get it sorted!

LGW-DOH on Dec 27th was also cancelled today. QR flight cancelled, looks like it was replaced with BA but was rebooked onto QR with a huge connection. Very strange hopefully moving to LHR
