CE No Meals Loaded - Complaint Worthy?

Just home after being on the BA905 from FRA to LHR this afternoon in CE and feeling a bit miffed. Usual crew announcement after take off but slightly different as they said for those in Club Europe we will be offering you a snack and a drink from the bar. I thought he had mixed up his ET drink and a snack words especially as when we turned onto the runway he told cabin crew to take their seats for landing! so did not think much more about it and settled in looking forward to what I predicted would be afternoon tea. Drinks offered to all CE passengers with the usual bag of SOCCA mixed nuts and thought the food would follow. Crew disappeared behind curtain and what smelt like bread being warmed wafted into the cabin but after a further wait, still no food. Second drink offered at which point I asked if there was food being served to be told no it had not been loaded as to do so would have delayed the aircraft and more mixed nuts offered instead. Nobody else in the cabin seemed bothered that they had not been offered food or to my knowledge even asked as I had. I think I was more miffed that a pre-emptive explanation and apology was not offered more than not actually getting the looked forward to scone. Wondering if it is worthy of a complaint and if so how to do that as I have never complained about anything before with BA. Thanks.

Yes - worth a complaint and you'll get a few k avios for doing so. This should be the link to complain.

Should’ve got a text from BA before boarding as they’d have known it left LHR without food, perhaps the other weren’t fussed did get the message. This happened to me on Weds, was told and suggested to buy food in the terminal with a voucher.

This was the onboard offering

It would have only been the afternoon tea at that time (so you didn't really miss out on much in my opinion), but that's still no excuse for them not notifying you in advance (the meals for the return are actually loaded in London so it should have been known hours beforehand) and then the really poor service onboard in the crew almost trying to hide it and pretend it was normal not to offer any food in CE until you asked about it.

If I had paid real money for CE, I would be seriously miffed if no meal was offered. Otherwise, what’s the difference from ET? I could suggest refunding the fare difference, in addition to some Avios.

Quite. CE is a seat and a half, a drink and a meal. So ET + 50% +10 + 10. The balance should be refunded.

I think I received 20k avios last time this happened,
I was happy with that, probably value that around 150-200.
They did have a drinks trolley so that was ok.

I think most of us can accept that occasionally there will be catering issues; however, for the cabin crew to try and ignore it and hope no CE pax question the problem is lazy at best and borderline deceitful at worst.

That's not good enough. This is BA not AA. Any old thing will not do. Complain good and hard about the lack of food and the "who cares" attitude of the crew.
