BA193 Cancelled

BA have cancelled BA193 to DFW 8th August, and put me on a flight direct to LAS on BA275, as that was my final stop. My exact itinerary was meant to be JER-LHR-LAS-LHR-JER, booked through BA Holidays.

However, I was booked into First on BA193, and have put me in WTP on BA275! Edit to say, that BA275 is on Wednesday the 9th!

What are my options?

I don't mind postponing by a day, as long as my inbound is pushed back a day.

I don't mind flying today or tomorrow to LAX in First.

It's a British Airways Holiday.

Desperate for advice as they sent the email at 4pm, and only seen it at 4am!

Thank you!

I would be contacting BAH, from memory they have either a 24hr helpline or an email address which they monitor 24/7 and will call you back.

I tried phoning BA Holidays. I got through to someone, and they said that they couldn't do anything, as they only did flight only. They gave me a number, and said that will be open. I called that number, I went through the options, and the messages said it was closed. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

I tried the +44 208 707 4463 number, but it doesn't seem to work.

Just send a brief email of the problem to the address above and they will get in touch.

They should have sent you a pre departure text message by now, with the number to call if you have issues during the holiday, that was what I used to sort out a recent issue very successfully.

You can call the correct number on +44 208 707 4492.
As it is a 24hr number manned by extremely competent staff in the UK there may be a short delay if someone has to "wake-up"!

Or email as suggested above, but give them the exact flights you want.
BAH will also happily put you on another airline if there is something that will get you there in better order.

Edit: AA has a seat in F on AA81 to DFW today (2.05pm); onwards to LAS on AA1459.
Enjoy some FFD during the layover.
Or use AA135 to LAX and do an overnight there (you will have to pay for a hotel and claim back but I recently had a $550 dollar claim paid without question - I had a copy of an Expedia search for airport hotels).

BA 24/7 Customer Support are helpful on +44 203 250 0145 but not sure if these only handle flights rather than holidays.

Thanks everyone. I e-mailed BA Holidays, and within 10 minutes max of e-mailing, I had a phone call from them, with a list of alternative flights ready to give me, immediately.

They changed the hotel and car reservation for me no problem, and I even asked if they could change the pickup location for the car closer to the hotel, which they did, without charge.

I am flying to LAS via LAX tomorrow instead, and DFW on the way back. They booked me with Delta for the LAX-LAS route, which I had no problem with. I was surprised by the Delta offering.

The agent was incredibly helpful and friendly. She really cared about my problem. Outstanding customer service, and as a result, I will be writing a note to BA about her performance!

Nice one!
The BAH duty desk team are exceptional.
Not sure if there is some crossover with the GGL team but if you want GGL-level service (or at least what it should be), then BAH is the way to go.

I can't think of many organisations that work like this, so well done BAH.

I've now amended this thread with some details, there have actually been several recent cases where the email process has worked well . I don't recall any specific data points or anecdotes on the text number, but I've added it to the Signposts thread but would welcome any feedback on that one.

It almost seems worth booking a BAH over flight-only for the quality and responsiveness of the support!
