Downgraded from F and moved to AA J

I was booked on BA285 (LHR-SFO) tomorrow (July 27) and just received an e-mail that that flight had been cancelled and they've booked me in J on an AA flight via DFW. DoI have any reasonable options?

Should be a seat in F on BA173 at 11:40 LHR to JFK. Arrives 14:25 and then connect on to the 16:55 AA177 to SFO which arrives at 20:23 also in F. This gets you in later than 285 but will get you an additional 210TPs over going direct (plus a brief visit to the Chelsea lounge at JFK).

You best ring YouFirst, rather than the main contact centre number, once you have found your preference, they will be well used to handling this scenario. JFK and PHL are relatively easy connection points.

If you'd rather not connect on the east coast, there's an F seat on BA 49 to SEA tomorrow with connections in AS F to SFO.

Given youre within 24 hours as well, Id suggest demanding a trip on AF, or LX, or as mentioned via JFK, SEA, ORD etc on BA/AA

Would pick that. The 285 was old F on STBE, the 49 will be a newer 781. So a lucky escape.

this. not just for the extra tier points but i prefer stepping off to stretch my legs, have an underwhelming cheslea lounge experience and continue on with a nice meal on the tcon first.
