Domestic cancelled but can I still use long haul?

Morning all,

after some advice. Travelling man lhr las today, BA have cancelled domestic. Can’t get through to anyone and on mmb just gives options to change date of whole trip or cancel whole trip.
if we get ourselves to London can we still get onto vegas flight or will they be auto cancelled?
still showing as live in mmb

Yes, but you must call BA and ask for that so your trip is reticketed.

When you say it is still live do you mean you can check in for the LAS flight? Do you have a BP?
Under normal circumstances you would be fine to miss the cancelled leg and pick up the whole booking in LHR- obviously don’t accept any changes or cancel the trip in MMB.

But you need to tell BA what you are doing.
Is it by any chance a BA holidays booking? If so email/call their duty desk and they will sort it out (they normally text you their details the day before you leave).
Otherwise I suggest you call BA at exactly 8am this morning when the lines open for the best chance to get through.
You should be able to claim back the cost of a train fare from MAN.

Thanks so much, I’ve just managed to get through to them after an hour and they’ve just taken off the domestic so I should be good!

Welcome to Flyertalk.

In addition to the other comments, note that BA can simply rebook you on to LNER services from ABZ, EDI, NCL.

Good to know because I've had BA agents refuse to rebook to LNER to EDI/ABZ after a cancelation at the airport.

What BA can do and what they will do in any particular set of circumstances has a high tendency to diverge
