BA and the Coronation

Just wanted to start up a thread in advance of the King's Coronation in early May.

Aware that BA usually likes to celebrate in the lounges and onboard with special meals. Has anyone heard any plans that might be lined up for the big day?

On more logistical matters - has there been any rumours of airspace closures on the day to avoid aircraft noise during certain key parts of the ceremony like at the Queen's funeral and recent Royal weddings?

Just aware of a closure linked to the flypast (65 aircraft expected to feature)

There is a restriction for Area E from 2:20-2:45pm local. LHR traffic on approach is exempt. That said there may be a small stoppage assuming the flypast routing follows the standard route for such buck house balcony bashes. Dispersal post LHR is SQN and type dependant with airspace to the north west, south east and west temporarily restricted. All of this will be co-ordinated with 78SQN and NATS down in Swanwick, there will be little to no impact as per usual apart from the HAL security staff strike.

Glad to see they are still with the times - King Charles has gone for a Coronation Quiche - chicken was for his mother!

I was in a cafe once and asked for a quiche, but the waitress slapped me and walked off.

I may have mispronounced it...

I wonder whether BA will have a special website for pax onboard to watch for free through WiFi (like they did for the Queens funeral).

Yew but does the sandwich come with chicken or it has to be bought separately?
