Parents in Business, kids in EP - lounge access?
We’re traveling next week like this:
DEN -> LHR -> FAO
5 passengers
- 2 adults Club World
- 3 children (13, 9, 9) World Traveller Plus
When we arrive at LHR (Terminal 5), we have a 4 hour layover before the next flight, out of Terminal 3. I was hoping all 5 of us could grab a shower and freshen up in a lounge.
I have no status on BA, but have Amex Business Platinum and Priority Pass. Would any of the business lounges allow our 3 kids to accompany us in the lounge? Would you stay in terminal 5 or go straight to T3 for the lounges there?
Thanks!

Welcome to Flyertalk and welcome to the BA Forum.
If you don't have status on BA, AA or another oneworld airline, then you can't guest people into lounges, at least not when travelling Club World / business. More over you can't use the T5 lounges since you won't have access to them, you need a T5 boarding pass to get to the T5 lounges.
So you're down to Prioriy Pass / Amex only, and only the T3 options, No. 1 or Club Aspire - you can also pay for admission, and only Aspire has showers. Amex Centurion is your other option in T3. If you have Centurion access then you can guest children in at US$30 per child. Centurion does have showers.

This one is worth the popcorn just for the split classes point!
ETA: just realised the OP in new, so welcome, just bear in mind that parents in one class, relatively young kids in another can tend to generate some 'discussion' on here!

haha - thanks for the welcome and these super helpful responses! Yes, I’m aware that splitting up the kids from parents was a somewhat “controversial” move, but our teenager is perfectly capable of handling babysitting duties as he does on a regular basis, and we’re a few steps away if more involvement is needed. These aren’t crying babies - the biggest issue we’ll have is reminding them to turn off their tablets to get some sleep.

Qantas have been known to allow children into the T3 lounge on occasion as "additional guests" but I think it may only apply to those who have status, I'm sorry I'm not 100% sure.
Almost certainly wouldn't work if you aren't flying with Qantas and have no status, anyway.
Centurion probably the best bet as mentioned above.
Hope you have a good flight, genius move putting the kids back in economy

Doesn’t T3 have a Centurion lounge? If you have the minimum spend on your Amex you can still bring in guests for free there with your Amex card. Otherwise, we’ve only been lucky enough to squeeze the third offspring in to the BA lounges when we’ve both been in F.
