Ever thought about a sushi chef in the CCR?

Just wondering how expensive this would be for BA. Maybe worth at least a trial or a pop-up concept?

Personally, I loved the “prepared to order” sushi I recently had in the QR business class lounge in DOH.

If it’s not paying for placement it won’t happen!

None of that foreign stuff for me. I'd rather have this.

That does not look very Argentinian...

The problem is that it won't be top quality sushi, it'll be the quality equivalent of a Boots meal deal. I don't like salmon, so it's a dead cert that'll be what they serve as good quality tuna would be too expensive.

Let’s deal with the powdered eggs first, and then we’ll talk sushi.

Powered eggs are great, for the record

Edit: I mean "powdered"

In my house it is....I've got to use merluza instead of cod/haddock right enough. :)

One would like to have this — from Al Safwa last year:

But we will end up with gas station sushi self-served on the terrace.

It looks good enough - however, I prefer mine from a place 389.71 nautical eastwards

The JAL F Lounge at NRT always used (and AFAIK still does) have this. Two actually!

Proper sushi grade fish (and preferably sashimi grade) is expensive and requires strictly traçable supply, transport, and handling at the restaurant.

im pretty sure Ba won’t pay for either the fish, or the chef or the transport and in lounge handling equipment. Heck, coming to think of it, I bet they wouldn’t even pay for a decent sushi or sashimi knife!!

would love it though!

It does indeed although the selection is a little limited.

If I am not mistaken this is a bit more Giffnock than Buenos Aires.

Whilst I love Sushi, I don't think that you could recreate the proper high end Sushi experience there.

The would be much better partnering with Claridges/The Ritz for a proper afternoon tea experience. Would be keeping with the brand.
