Fast track at BHD

Fast track at BHD
Please excuse my ignorance, but have just checked in for a BHD LHR flight tomorrow and it is the first time as gold, or silver for that matter, that I have travelled in ET with someone else on the booking. In this case my son who is blue. His boarding pass doesn't have fast track on it, but am I right in thinking that he can use fast track anyway?

It usually makes very little difference if you go right or left, even on a Friday. Fast Track takes a couple of minutes at BHD, slow track a couple of minutes and another couple of minutes. BFS in summer, on the other hand.....
