Shifted out of exit row seat (minor vent)
ET to Geneva in a couple of weeks time. Lots of suitable and similar priced flights so picked one that had a decent exit row seat available. Then get shifted to the back of the bus because the curtain has moved back.
I know these things flex so have been checking every morning - lo and behold today the curtain is back to row 8, and exit rows are in ET again - except every seat is taken... so stuck down the back. Yes I know this happens Yes 'operational reasons' Yes, don't pick a flight on the basis of a specific seat Yes, GVA is obviously a CE heavy route. Yes, I know BA IT will never be at the point where it can offer you back a seat you were previously bumped from. But it's still bloody irritating when it happens... Rant over. RC |
An account with ExpertFlyer really helps here – you will get an alert as soon as the curtain moves.

I've had this happen a few times and got very confused. Advice I got on here was not to select the first 3 rows of ET, even if they are the exit rows, I got told if I do I will be playing "curtain roulette".

Happens to me all the time. Really annoying

Pay no heed to behind the curtain. The chink of cutlery and china and the pop of champagne corks drowns out any noise from the rabble.

This happened to me on Boxing day on domestic flight. Booked row 10 on the A321 but the ET curtain moved. Fortunately BA's IT bumped me back to the Row 24 exit row. I was surprised and slightly impressed it had that capability...!
